According to US News and World report, you should go to

H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, Tampa

It's important to go to a good hospital, and find a good doctor there.  The reason being, I am a stage IV colon with mets to the liver.  And they called in experts to deal with my side effects until I had none.

Here is the ranking system.

Here is the info on the hospital

Let me know if any of us can be of more help.

I am also in Tampa, Florida in a similar situation. My father has been diagnosed with Stage IV liver cancer/bile duct cancer. He went to an oncologist outside of Tampa that I was not satisfied with. We are now looking into second opinions with Moffit Cancer Center and Florida Cancer Institute. Both that I have talked to seem very willing to help and give honest second opinions and point us in the right direction for treatment. He will be going to FL Cancer Inst. this week. Good Luck in your search. If you would like to talk or want any info from someone local PM me.

I am been ont the phone to Moffitt all week.  I have faxed all info and now have to wait on the case worker to call me and set up appt.  They said she will call in 3 days and set up an appt in 2 weeks.

I also sent all info to Houston -  have been on the phone to them 8 times.  They are suppose to contact me within 5 days to set up an appt within 2-3 weeks.

Nobody seems to be in any hurry.  I have also called 4 other oncologists to set up appts in Tampa and only ONE has actually set up an appt.  That will be this Wed.   Two of them I had to leave messages even though it was business hours and I still haven't received a phone call back.

It is unbelievable that for four days I have done nothing but try to get 2 or 3 appts set up and I'm having a really hard time doing this.  Most all want records sent, then they review them, then they will call me for an appt.

Anyway, this is where I'm at.   Thanks for the response.
