HI, we have recently found out that my father has (Primary)liver cancer with lung cancer in the same tumor (father also has lung cancer, tumor in lung shrunk with chemo/radiation down to 1/8 of an inch and has not grown in last year, just spread).  The Oncologist says he has never seen 2 cancers in one tumor.

To make this short, does anyone have Dr. Geller's email address??  I have seen his name so many times on these message boards.  I called and left a message with his nurse and I never received a call back.

I was hoping he could maybe look at my Dad's scans or something and advise if he could do anything.

I don't know what stage my Dad is at, I do know that that tumor is the size of a large orange.  My Dad does not have any yellowing.  He has undergone 2 chemo treatments and will go for his third tomorrow.

Thanks!

I had multiple lesions, that's the nice word to use. Your Dad's tumour is
quite large so beyond Radio Frequency ablation or Cyroablation. I had a
re-section of the right lobe 50% as there were 4x  50mm lesions. Then
another lesion came up on the left lobe, I had that re-sected as well. I
now take graviola extract and so far there are no new lesions. I would
for re-section, it is the Gold Standard. I tried Chemo, all it did was make
me very ill. I think the yellowing you mention is the Billirubin not
passing out of the liver due to blocked ducts.

Thank you for your info...

The chemo is making my Dad very week, this past Thursday they had to wheel chair him into the office for chmo.

My Sister was there with my parents and pulled the Oncologist aside and asked about my Dad's situation and the Dr. said if this Chemo does not work, we are running out of options.  The Dr. given my Dad perkaset (not sure of sp) for the pain he is in, on a scale my Dad says he rates the pain between 4-5.  He is sleeping a lot and not eating very much, says he's not hungry.

We are wondering if the Cyber-knife would help with this tumor, Dr. basically said no, but he is not at a facility that offers this.

Dr. said they can't do surgery due to Dad having a bad heart.

Thanks

Amy

My MIL has a large tumor on her liver & nodules on her lungs - they used a procedure called Chemoembolization which shoots a massive dose of chemo directly into the liver.  She had this done on Fri. - we won't know for 2 weeks if the tumor has decreased.  But it's suppose to be quite effective.  Don't know all the risks/benefits, etc. but you might want to research that.

Thank you for the information, however, the Lord called my Dad home on March 31.  My Dad was 60 years old.  I pray that your MIL has success with the Chemoembolization.  Part of me feels that my Dad's Oncologist did not do enough for him.  All I know now (as much as it hurts us still here) my Dad is cancer free and has no worries.

God Bless to you and your family.
