Hi all -

My dad has early stage II MM.  He was just diagnosed a couple of months ago.  He has had two transfusions, biophosphonate IV and did two weeks of radiation.   He has two lesions on his spine and has been constantly in bad pain or zonked out from pain meds.  His appetite is pretty much non existent and he is bed ridden about 22 hours a day.  He is starting to give up. He started Revlimid today and started the dex a couple of weeks ago.

Now for the question.  I am hoping that if we can get the back pain under control he will have the strength to fight this.  Does anyone here have experience with Kyphoplasty for compression fractures?  I know of it being done to three (non -MM) people and twice the results were not good.

Thanks so much!
