Hi, I am new to the board. I am a 25-year old male and in good health. About a month ago, I discovered a lump on the base of the right side of my neck about the size of a pea. I went to my doctor and he told me it was a swollen lymph node and we should wait a month or two to see if the lump goes away or grows bigger. I waited a month and the node has not changed. I went back to the doctor yesterday and he thought he found a second swollen node a little higher up my neck, but much deeper. In fact, I can't really feel what he is talking about. He said that both nodes are not big enough to be clinically significant (they are both less than 2 cm) and suggested I wait another month to see what happens with them. I am having no other symptoms and did not have a cold or flu before the first node appeared. I did recently have a CBC test and the only abnormalities were a slightly evelvated hemoglobin (17.7 g/mL) and slightly elevated Calcium (10.3).
After reading a bunch on stuff on the internet, I am a little concerned about waiting another month to see what happens with these nodes. Can anyone give me any advice? Do my symptoms seem consistent with Lymphoma? Should I seek advice from an ENT immediately?
Thanks for the responses in advance!!
