Sorry to hear about your mother. I think you should ask your mother what she wants. nowadays..chemo isn;t as rough as it used to be. It is by no means a walk in the park, but it is def. something worth trying if your mother wants to. I have read and researched chemotherapy and the elderly, and it seems that many of them can have successful treatments without having any major medical problems, same thing goes for radiation and hormone therapy. Think about it... she made it throught the surger.I think if your mom wants to do it, you should support her. Talk it over with her.If her oncologist seems to think she could handle it, then why not.

btw..my grandmother was diagnosed with endometrial cancer stage 1b last spring. She had a TAH with negative lymph node spread and pelvic washings. She has been fine for the last year. But unfortunatley, a freak occurence happened...she had a CT of chest..not for any symptoms, just for a follow up and has an enlarged lymph node at the end of her trachea. This was confirmed with a PET scan. Now we are waiting for a biospy of lung next week. I know this..she is 84 know and is willing to do whatever is necessary to fight this..if in fact the cancer has come back and spread.

So with that said....being 82 yrs. old isn;t as old as you think..nowadays people in their 80's can be expected to live another 6, 7 + years, especially with all the medical advances.
