Can Someone Explain Tumor Markers

Subject: can someone explain tumor markers

My husband was recently diagnosed with cholangiocarcinom, bile duct with a large tumor on the liver, and another lesion.  I have copies of the blood tests but dont know how to read them.  What are tumor markers and what numbers are good, bad etc.  Thanks
