Subject: Air travel after RAI
Date: 06/16/2007

I will be flying from the Midwest to Europe about six and a half weeks after my RAI, and returning three weeks after that.  The radiologist warned me that I may still be radioactive enough to set off alarms in airports at that point, and suggested I get a letter from my endocrinologist to carry with me, just in case.  Has anybody else had any experience with this?  Has the letter worked, or did the radioactivity result in a huge hassle, or what?
