I was wondering if you might be able to answer a question for me. When mom was diagonsed four weeks ago. the only option they said was radiation, chemo . om said no to chemo, she said she did not want to be sick, so for three weeks she has been undergoing whole brain radiation. They now wnat to do three more on the lesions in thebrain. She has nsclc, i have not been told hte stage and my stepdad said he didn't know either, like maybe they think we are not sophistictred enough to understand/ Anyway she is so tired and always thirsty and her face is so swollen. they said it was from the Decadron, but I wonder after reading all of your posts could the radiation make her face swell? She goes back to doc on Friday for results of ct done on Monday. I guess we well know whatthey think then. I despise this diseas and hate calling by name, because it gives it power.
