Subject: Stage II and now 2 nodules in lung? help!
Date: 07/14/2007

Hello everyone.  First time posting.  My dad was diagnosed with stage II melanoma about 2 years ago.  He had a surgical resection as well as lymph nodes removed.  The nodes were clean and the surgeon was very happy.  He did interferon for a year.  He has had routine imaging and blood work every 3 months.  Imaging had been fine and blood work normal.

Well, now he has 2 lung nodules on chest CT.  He is scheduled to have a PET next week.

I guess my post is more of a scared rant rather than a specific question.  I just can't understand how everything was looking good with negative nodes 2 years ago and clean blood work since.  now he has 2 nodules.  I guess the PET is going to be the critical study.

Does anyone have experience with a situation very similar to this?  Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated!
