Subject: In Remission "I Think"
Date: 12/27/2004
I have gone thru two terms of chemo within the past two years. In those two years my oncologist really showed that he was concernd about my cancer and how important it was for me to have these treatments, but almost at the end of my second term I had lost my medical insurance that was an 80/20 coverage. I then picked up another insurance that had a coverage of 50/50 I was asked if I was going to be able to pay this 50% of my part, being on a fixed income being on diability I told them that maybe on a small monthly payment plan I could. I was asked if i could borrow money to pay off my portion I answerd no.

And on the following treatment I was told that I was in remission and that I would not need anymore treatments, but just blood test monitoring every three months but his concern of my well being was not there like how it was when I had the better insurance.

I was happy to hear that I was in remission, but deep down inside there is a gut feeling that I am not totaly in remission.

I am afraid to see another doctor cause I really don't want to hear that I still have cancer and Im not in remission, this would crush my spirits.
I don't know where to turn to or what to do.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
