We have a cholangiocarcinoma these past 3 years and we keep the weight in balance (around 5 kgs over av weight) with porridge (oats) with raisins cinammon and soy milk and bananas for breakfast - lunch is wholewheat rolls salad beetroot fish greens and olive oils, evening meal fish grilled and salads and perhaps corn, rice or pasta or potatoes whole - in between meals I make 70% chocolate with nuts and figs (for constipation) we are still here 3 years after diagnosis - treatments have been Avastin, Tarceva with Gemcitubine, 5FU mix, Sirtex spheres (for tumour) oncologist impressed - no dairy as system needs foods to be absorbed readily - meats once every week and fish mostly - legumes in salads and pureed in soups for fibre and protein - we are in Australia and are being treated as if we have pancreatic cancer - as liver seems to have the related issues - good luck - dont diet - keep bowels healthy with fibre and fish good for digestion and bowels - juices daily beetroot and carrot and apple and celery in different mixes and when he cant eat - soy milk sustagen hospital strength and a banana or blue berries is nice once daily - best of luck and may your God bless you and give you both strength...life can be good - take each day as it comes
