The Andre Sobel River of Life Foundation is holding an essay contest for young cancer survivors to showcase their writing talent and to share their stories. A panel of judges selects the winners. All that is required of perspective judges is that they read the submitted essays, which the Sobel Foundation will mail to them, and then give 30-45 minutes of their time to a conference call with several other judges in early September to discuss their ranking choices. Though the time commitment for perspective judges is small (you never have to leave the comfort of your own home!), they play a large role in affecting the lives of young cancer survivors.
So if you are a dedicated and caring individual who wishes to read these amazingly touching essay submissions, please take this opportunity to make a difference in a young cancer survivor's life.
