I received the results of the follow up CT Scan of my lungs after they found a nodule on my left lung on an abdominal CT scan last week. It shows two nodules approx. 7-8mm in the left lung and another in the right lung. As they are small yet, the recommendation is to wait six months and do another CT scan. My family Dr. was also my younger sister's Dr. who died at the age of 47 from liver and kidney failure. I asked him today if it was true that she also had lung cancer (told to me by my sister) and he confirmed that she did but the liver is why she died so quickly. This does not make me feel as confident as I did yesterday when I knew there was only the one small 7mm nodule in the left lung. I am going to look into natural ways to try and keep the nodules from getting bigger and to try and stop any more from appearing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for this supportive forum. God bless all of you.

Hi Ally, I also have cancer in both lungs. Why are they waiting 6 months? Did they recommend a biopsy? That's a long time to wait. Not trying to scare you but when my first CT came back there was an immediate needle biopsy following by a second CT and then a PET scan. There was no waiting. The oncologist put me on Tarceva since I refused the conventional chemo/radiation treatments. Believe I would have to get a 2nd opinion. Please keep us posted on how you are. You have to push these doctors and look out for your own best interests. A lot of them won't tell you anything unless you ask specific questions point blank. There is a lot of info on this site. You might want to do a little reading on some previous posts in this section. God Bless you and I will say a prayer for you. Nancy
