JoAnne,
So sorry to hear about Lexie's diagnosis. Maya was having problems since Oct '04, diagnosed in April '05 and did very well until December. We lost her the day after Christmas.
We had no idea how old Maya was as she came from a rescue group in 2003. She lost her hearing in the first year she was with us and we think she was at least 10 yrs old.
When you said that the masses are away from Lexie's urethra, I think that's a very good thing. Hopefully they won't interfere so much with her urination. I do believe the piroxicam, misoprostol and Pepcid helped Maya greatly. When I found out about the Graviola from this msg board, I added that to boost her immune system. We were also dealing with the fact that she only had one functioning kidney and our vet was always amazed at how well her bloodwork would turn out.
It's so difficult dealing with this diagnosis but this msg board is a great help in knowing you are not alone. So many people care. I have a regular candle lighting for Maya every evening and I will add Lexie to the prayer.
Blessings to you & Lexie, Lynn
