It's so good to hear about peoples experiences.
I had leep done july 3rd, just a few days ago. I had CIN3. I have to admit, I wish I had read these posts BEFORE my procedure.
The doctor didnt tell me anything when I went in, all I knew was from reading the pamphlet and online. I'm very lucky I'm good at dealing with these sorts of things and sucking it up, I never said a word..which was dumb probably. I was awake, and given the numbing then shot. I wasnt told my heart would race, which I see is common now after reading. The only time I heard anything really, was when I asked questions, or seemed to make the doctor angry by bleeding a lot.
I didnt feel much, the scariest part was the shot making my heart race unexpectedly. I felt a little sharp pinching when he was cutting, and the smell was pretty foul.
At the end they just kinda wiped me up and left me to get dressed. I also noticed they just left the suctioning device out in the open with blood all over it, which I found very rude to me, not knowing how I would respond. The doctor told me he wasnt 100% he got all of the bad tissue, so he wants to recheck my cervix in 6 months. He told me he as hesitant to keep cutting because I was bleeding so much, and I probably should have been in an operating room :(So now I'm worried I have to go through this again.
Afterwards- I was lucky enough to get a 4 day weekend. The 4th of july helped with that. I havent left the house yet, but am going to work tomorrow. I've had small cramping, bloating- and brown discharge, which I think reeks. I've definitely had somewhat of a mood swing on the down side, but to any huge degree.
All in all, it's not that bad so far, I hope my story helps some people. And I hope all of us have 100% recoveries from this.
