did the women in your family have BRCA testing? If not, I would suggest you look into that.  It's a blood test.  The BRCA 1 and 2 genes are inherited genes.  If you have them you are at very high risk for breast cancer and at somewhat lower risk for ovarian cancer.  Most ovarian cancer is not inherited; however, if you have a family hx it is good to check this out.
