Vulvectomy Vs. Wide Exsicion???

Subject: Vulvectomy vs. wide exsicion???

I have read alot on this site about people having a vulvectomy and have recently had my second wide excision of the vulva.  What is the difference between the two?

 Also, how does the doctor detect if it has spread to your lymph nodes?
