My name is Gary, I am 58 and live in New Hampshire USA.
I have been diagnosed with non-operable pancreatic endocrine cancer for over 20 months, I received Temadar chemo for 6 months which slowed most of the progression but then was deemed to be no longer effective.
For 11 months I have been on RAD001 as part of a Phase 2 clinical trial. My liver leisions have been reduced by 30-50% , my nausea , pain, energy and appetite were restored. Thus far I have seen a significant benefit from this treatment. There are side effects, but for me they have all been acceptable. I recommend that you investigate this treatment, it seems to be very effective against the particular pancreatic cancer which I have.
If you have proceeded with your treatment, I would like to hear how it has been for you.

Dear Lety,
RAD001 so far didn't show any efficacy in pancreatic cancer. In one study in the US about 30 patients were enrolled and all came off the study after 2 cycles due to the desease progression. You should suggest your doctor to look for another clinical trial for you and not waste your time on this one.
