My nephew was diagnosed with stage IV stomach cancer and today was the surgery. Unfortunately no surgery was actually performed, other than a stomach tube placed for future, as the cancer has spread to other organs. It is Signet Cell, from what I read today, rare and aggressive. He is 37 years old, and this is quite a shock to all.
Does anyone know what is realistic at this point? Is chemo going to give him a few weeks/months but only slowing it down?
We don't know where to turn, and hope others can give us an idea. Thanks, Susan
