I am new to this web site. After reading some messages on the board, made me realize their are alot of people out there going thru this aweful disease.
I have heard stories of people who know people and others who have going thru this brutal time, but when you wake up and it hits home.I feel for everyone out there.
God bless everyone and give us all the strenght to be strong.
My Dad has been running to the hospital with chronic leg pains for the past 5 months. Since july 2007 we went to the ER more than 12 times. After 3 xrays, a CT Scan and 2 MRI all came back with the same results.Everything looks normal. Maybe its sciatic nerve or something is what they told us.
3 weeks ago we went back to the hospital because the pain was unbearable and they decided to admit my dad for a few days so a neurologist would see him (If not he would not be seen by a neurologist until after the New year).
The Neurologist said he did not see anything. So I lost it with the doctors.
They ran somemore xrys and we find out he has kidney cancer and that the kidney cancer has spread to the hip bone. two days later after more scans we are told he has cancer in the lungs as well.
He has hip surgery this week. we are waiting on the biopsy reports early next week.
