I have been reading many older posts about those who have had to have a hysterectomy. And had a question maybe you could help me with.

I will be having a conization, for I have adenocarcinoma in situ. Now I understand that if it comes back with carcinoma cells along the margin of the cut, that I will have to go to the next course of action, which from what my ob/oncologist told me, would most likely be a hysterectomy.

My question is...what is the probability of having the conization come back with cells along the margin? I understand everyone is different, but from what I keep reading most people have had to have the hysterectomy.

Hope someone here can help. Thanks. :)
