Hi, my husband also was diagnosed a month ago, and we're very confused about everything. His only symptoms are enlarged spleen and liver, which he had 2 years ago, and nothing has changed in all this time.
Now, because of the diagnosis, the doctor wants him on hydroxyucea, which has horrible side effects, and we're concerned that it might even trigger this disease to increase.
Please let me know how your husband is doing, and how you're coping with everything. Personally, I'm really really really scared of losing him, but neither of us know what to do right now.
Enjoy life, waiting until symptoms come, or take the drugs.
