Hi teach 4261 I was given a diet to follow when I was first diagnosed and that along with some supplements and other alternative treatments have returned me to good health. I don't mean to be insulting to traditional doctors but honestly they do not have much knowledge regarding nutrition. Not their fault. It is just not part of their education. Sugar does feed cancer and it is a no no for sure. As for the protein, I think it is the source that one should be careful of not the protein per se. I am going to attach the Regimen (diet etc.) here for you to check out. I have done so before and for some reason it usually becomes distorted and hard to follow when it appears on the board. It should appear with each paragraph separated etc. You can always contact me privately if it is not clear to you. Best regards Shemay ____________ A REGIMEN FOR REGENERATION AND DETOXIFICATION 1st thing in morning ESSIAC tea-----one hour later 6 to 8 oz carrot juice before lunch----- 6 to 8 oz concord grape juice before dinner---- 6 to 8 oz carrot juice 2 hrs after dinner---- 6 to 8 oz concord juice Last thing at night--- ESSIAC tea-------VERY IMPORTANT ALSO VERY IMPORTANT......Take 2 x 1,000mg natural source Vitamin C with each meal and before bedtime. I have been reading the many posts on this website and find all of them very informative. I am however confused about sugar and protein in a cancer patients diet. My mother has just started chemo and the doctors have told her to eat whatever she wants at this point. From what I am reading she should absolutely stay away from sugar and protein as it encourages the cancer cells to grow. Is this true? What would you tell her to eat? Should she also stay away from fruit because of the sugar content? Please help, this is so new to all of us and we just want to do what is best for her.
