I also find that amazing that a doctor would say that nothing will come out. The ejaculate is in fact 80% prostate fluid and the rest is sperm and seminal vesicle fluid and bulbourethral gland fluid. The testes function separately from each other so that the removal of one will not eliminate the production of sperm cells from the remaining testis. The removal of both testes would result in nothing coming out because the prostate requires testosterone from the testes to produce the prostate fluid. This is what happens when men have to take hormone deprivation therapy to reduce the prostate size. This is a common procedure for prostate cancer patients who have enlarged prostates and need to reduce the prostate size for the procedure to remove the prostate, such as Brachytherapy, radiation treatment, High intensity focus ultrasound (HIFU). You will function normally except that instead of having two testes you will only have one.
