Help..Confused About What's Best Food For My Father

I believe that is good for you in moderation, but, milk makes my father sick and cheese bloats him.  He loves ice-cream but is unable to eat that anymore.  Poor guy, if I were him I would lose my appetite too with all these rules and confusion after you're done trying to figure it all out it's time to take a nap and me too! Help....anybody with some easy to follow info?  I'm desperate for some information I could follow..like the good ol days!  Or just any answers to my confusion.  THankyou so much for taking the time to read my post.
