My 61 yr young mother was diagnosed with stage 4 GB in August. She took Gem/Citabine until it stopped working this month. They decided to do low dose radiation to shrink the largest tumor to stop the bleeding that is caused by the tumor invading her intestine. For those of you who recently lost mothers/fathers/loved ones, my thoughts are with you. If you wouldn't mind sharing, I would like to know what we can expect in the latest stage of this disease. My greatest hope is for her to be without suffering and I'm not sure if this disease is one where there will be a lot of pain in the end. Please shed some light. I understand this is a sensitive topic, but I can't find info anywhere.
