This is a tough one. Liver involvement of this stage is almost impossible to come back from. I actually admire the doctor for not pushing treatment on your very ill Dad. YOu can only support him and make him comfortable with pain meds and nutrious food. YOu can google the cancer but I am presuming it is secondary and I would suspect it was originally in liver or somewhere else. Here is a link that explains the difference.
