Ampullary cancer is not the same as panacreatic cancer. Doctors are beginning to think that ampullary cancer is related to intestinal cancers. Your cure rate or survival rate depends on the pathology of your tumor. I would have your oncologist explain the pathology report. He or she can also explain chances of recurrence and survival rate. Your report sounds pretty good, but I would educate myself as much as I can.
