Hi Kathy AM,
There is no easy answer to your question about how do you live with the uncertainty of possible serious illness. My suggestions are to build a network of friends, either face to face or via the internet so you have people to talk to. Also finding a hobby that you can lose yourself in for awhile can be helpful. But also to realize that it is very normal to feel frightened and that it is ok. Sometimes writing your thoughts and feelings out in a journal is helpful.
I have stage 4 uterine cancer and a less than 10% chance of survival. My diagnosis came a year ago and the fear is with me everyday. But you learn to pick up your life again and to go on. The important thing is to continue living for as long as God wants you on this Earth. Life is precious, don't let it slip between your fingers. When you get your diagnosis, rejoice if it is nothing serious. But if it is serious learn all you can about your situation and your options. And reach out to others for the support that you need. Kathy--Keep on living!! Hugs to you!!
God Bless!!
