Hello,

Can anyone give me some idea of what the life expectancy is for Stage 3B Non Small Cell Cancer is.   My father has had Chemo and Radiation treatments this past year.  He completed both treatments.  Then he was hospitalized with Congestive Heart Failure.  He had surgery on the Pericardial Sac which was full of fluid, and they put a window in the Sac so it will not ever fill up again.   His last 4 CAT/Petscans came out good.  The doctor said he can't say that he still has cancer and can't say that he does not have cancer.

If someone could give me a range of month, years or days, it would be helpful in order to plan ahead for his directives to be done.  (He would not do them at one time, but I think if I have more information, I can somehow gently convince him that it is necessary for everyone to fill out the directives) no matter if ill or not.

Thank you in advance for any information you can give me.
