Hi Siobhann my dear - I am in Australia and my partner was diagnosed 4 years ago this July - the Doctors have a standard response so take it as you have as long as you are prepared to fight for - we eat foods that dont load the liver up so no dairy and no processed foods and loads of fish - no fries - the liver works as a filter and if it is loaded up with fat it makes you tired so clean food like beetroot carrot ginger etc - we eat porridge with soy cinnamon and honey each morning - drink dandelion tea - fish, salads, wholemeal breads, and I make fresh cakes with no butter, drink a daily coopers beer 0.5% and chocolate by Lindt 85%, loads of nuts, berries, greens, soy milk and smoothies, no coffee, vitamins - milkthistle and so forth - my partner works travels and takes chemo orally - he has had Avastin, Gemzitubine, Tarceva, 5FU, Sirtex, and soon to have Sorifanib - look to cancerbackup (uk) website and clinicaltrials.org - meditate and clear the body of stress.......listen to folk music and be happy - we are living - all the while praying, researching, working, enjoying family, travelling and if 4 years runs to 5 and so forth then God is on our side as I am sure God is on yours......Eileen xxx
