Not to worry -- I do have lots of support -- most important is my wonderful Bob! Yes, I have a bit of pain, but the doc gave me a prescription for 500mg Keflex to keep on hand in case it flares up and becomes more painful. Basically I can't have any dental work -- except filling replacements if necessary, but no extractions or root canal type work -- anything that might deal with the jaw bone. Don't cry for me -- save your tears for people with real problems -- I'm not being heroic, just practical! Its not all that bad, yet...and hopefully now that I know what is happening we can take steps to ensure that it doesn't develop into anything more serious. This is just a real case of mentioning everything to your oncologist -- it may not be connected to your cancer, but...somethimes it is!! Best to know so that you can plan. I was initially upset, but as the afternoon has progressed I'm now at ease with what has happened and am looking at it through positive eyes -- its only one spot, it could have been the whole jaw --pain is annoying, but it could be excruciating -- things could be much worse! I'm blessed with a wonderful family and friends -- which extends to many of the members of this board!! Sorry I lost my cool for a moment when I first came home -- it took a few hours to come to grips with it, but honestly I'm ok now!! Thanks for your support!! Cath
