I am so sorry about your husband.  My father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on Aug. 24, 08. It has spread to his liver and he is only able to get chemo every other week. He is 60 years old and has no risk factors for this disease. We are all stunned and heartbroken. He is very swollen in his legs, abdomen, and feet and unable to walk. He's on diuretics but nothing is helping. Did you ever find anything to help the swelling? They told us weeks ago that he only had "weeks," but he his still hanging in there and we are trying to keep his spirits up. I'm not sure what we'll be expecting and how soon it may be. My mom and him have been married 40 years and she is now his caretaker full time. They live on our street so I am there constantly as well. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your posting was in January. How are you today? I never imagined something like this would strike our family and I know  how painful it is for everyone. We are still in a state of shock and doing our best to deal with what is coming our way.

Take care,

Kasey Navin
