My dad is stage IV stomach CA and taking epirubicin, oxaliplatin and xeloda and for the past 3 days has had non-stop hiccups.  The doctor gave him Thorazine in addition to the Compazine he has been taking for nausea but it didn't help and then another doctor ordered him Baclofen but that didn't work either.  He is really sufferring from these hiccups.  Anyone ever have this problem w/ their chemo regimen or have any idea on another way to help with these relentless hiccups?  Any help would be greatly appreciated at this time.  As always, thanks for your kind attention and concern and God bless to all reading this site.

My dad had stomach cancer and has had the full stomach removed. shortly after he got severe hiccups that nearly killed him, he could hardly breath.  After alot of chasing doctors and pharmacists he got a liquid drug call laragactal (not sure about spelling).  It almost worked immediately.

hope it works for your dad

take care
