I am wondering about stent replacement for my sister who has been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma: favoring cholangiocarcinoma and needs to have the plastic stent replaced with a stainless one within 3 months of Dec 28, 07. Is this surgery tough on patients who are on chemo and have had the surgery laparscopically for gallbladder then ERCP.
My sister is having chemo-Gemzar ( second treatment today).
I am interested in any help with suggestions for eating, nausea (now on Compazine), has tons of mucous (taking Reglan for this and seems to be helping). She had severe headaches the day after her first chemo and had some low back pain but these have eased.
She is very weak and very drowsy (not opening her eyes much), with very sleepless nights.
