We found out my mom had inoperable pancreatic cancer May 1, 2007. We know that we're extrememly blessed that she had been pain free until December 4, 2007 and that she is still with us this far into the battle. My husband and I are her primary caregivers.
My question since February 3rd has been why she is vomiting so much. She's at 78 pounds now, has a WONDERFUL Hopsice nurse who is managing the pain for mom with meds, etc.
So my question now is, how do we know if everything is moving towards the end? What can we do to help relieve her vomiting?
And as mom has kept her sense of humor with all this....who do we see about getting a better screening in place so no one else has to join the battle front of pancreatic cancer?
Any advice or help is appreciated.
