Hello-I am a nurse and I can tell you that unfortunately, liver transplants are not appropriate for cancer patients. Once it has mets somewhere else, it is considered systemic and a transplant would be futile. The new liver would have the same chance of getting cancer as the old liver.
Do investigate other alternatives though such as radiation, etc.-you never know if she'll qualify.
