Hi, I have a friend with PC now with spots on the liver.  Can you please provide more info. on your father's situation.  We are looking at RFA as they his doctors would not perform the Whipple  due to cancer on liver.  The cancer is only on 1 vien of the pancreas after a 3 month regement of chemo.  Can you provide the name and contact of your doctor?  Please let me know...Thanks,  I hope any pray for your Father...

My father has stage 4 PC with mets to the liver (2 small spots).  He was diagnosed in October 2007.  After 8 treatments of gemzar the chemo seems to be loosing its punch.  Our doctor is going to use RFA to "cook" the two spots in the liver followed by radiation and chemo directed at the pancreas.  Does anyone have an experience or thought about this procedure?  Our Dr says he rarely goes this route.  Any thoughts would be welcomed and thanks - good luck to everyone involved with this terrible disease.
