My dad recently finished chemotherapy after colon cancer surgery and tolerated the 5FU pump very well. He did not have hardly any side effects or pain; the worst symptoms he had from it were a lasting coldness in his fingertips. The pump seems to be effective at delivering the chemo at a slower, steady rate, which helped him with the side effects. He felt fine through it all.
