My mother age of 63 was just diagnosed with Cholangio Carcinoma (anoid carcinoma cell) cancer. She had 1/3 of her liver removed and resected. The docter (Liver transplant specialist) at the University of Birmingham, AL said the the margins are good. There is no sign of cancer in her blood or anywhere else at this time. Is this common? She will be starting chemo and radiation in 6-8 weeks. The type of chemo is Xeloda. Any info on this would be helpful. Are there any good sights on the web. I am having trouble researching because it is so rare.
God Bless
Sue
