Hi,

I am the marketing manager for UKHIFU Ltd.  If you look at our web site we do have a comparison of the different treatment options for Prostate Cancer and you can see the advantages and disadvantages of the various treatments.  www.ukhifu.co.uk/treatment-options.htm

Side effects of all treatments are well documented.  With HIFU treatments the statistics show that;
Over 99% of men remain continent
Around 70% of men retain erectile function
Fistula effects approximately 1% of patients.

If you would like to give us a call you would be able to talk to a technical advisor who could answer any further questions you may have and we can organise for you to talk to some patients about their experiences if this would be useful.

Hope this is useful

My father was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and he is seriously considering HIFU.  I'm interested in hearing from any HIFU patients who have had serious side effects from treatment.  I'm particularly concerned about the possibilities of a fistula or severe (type 3) incontinence.

Thanks.
