I had HIFU on Feb 24. I am not incontinent, do not have a fistula and am starting to take Cialis every second day to regain sex function - seems to be working. Only problem was the supra pubic catheter blocked after 2 days and had to replaced with a Foley catheter which was inconvenient. When this was removed 9 days ago, I had a urinary tract infection which is being treated with a short course (10 days) of Cipro. Other than the cost C$22,000 (there is no cost coverage in Canada), discomfort and inconvenience, seems to have been OK. Probably better than the recovery from radical surgery.
