My mom is currently on her 6th round of Torisel. She WAS suffering from severe mouth sores but her acupuncturist told her to take this supplement called Licorice manufactured by Scientific Botanicals 1/4 teaspoon mix w/ water 3x a day gargle then swallow. BAM all sore gone within a wk or two.
She also has small/bad veins. Drs wanted her to get a port but she didnt like the idea of that. So her acupuncturist told her to take Hipex same company that makes them and the same way she takes Licorice. (both meds can be combined to you dont need to drink so many cups of stuff) Nurses use to prick her 5 times or more to find a vein and now two or less. So no port for her. I'm not advertising for anything. Just wanted to share this wonderful solution. We're in a tough battle with the cancer we don't need something like sores or bad veins to bring any more troubles.
