Jon--I will NEVER forget you and your beloved Aiko; the pictures you had of her on your website were wonderful.  Sadly, I will never forget your terrible battle with TCC either.

BUT, I am beyond THRILLED to hear that you have let another pup into your heart and it sounds as if this fellow really needed to find you.  He must surely think he has found doggie heaven having found you.  I wish you both a long and happy life together.

Annie was a "replacement" dog after the dog of my heart died suddenly of kidney failure.  Annie didn't take his place--she built a BIGGER spot in my heart and has stubbornly stayed there all this time.  (And to protect myself further, I have a back up dog so that I always will have at least two furry sources of comfort!)

Annie continues to hang in there, some days are better than others.  We've been going through a period of constant blood in her urine and it is still disturbing.  I try so hard to follow my own advice and enjoy every minute I have; this weekend we hope to get to go the beach--there is one that we can go to (by invitation only) where the dogs can run free.  Annie puts her nose to the shoreline and takes off until we catch up with her and turn her around. (It's the one instance where the constant peeing is a blessing, otherwise she'd never get caught!)

Jon, if it's okay, I'll send you my email address (by private response) and you can send me pictures of your new buddy!

Thank you so much for your kind word and for thinking of me when it came time to share such wonderful news!

Marty
