What a bummer! We don't want any new people in this club!
At least you know what it is now. I was diagnosed in April 2006, started chemo (ABVD) on 10 May and finished 18 October 2006. My portacath got infected and I was very sick on several occasions. I ended up loosing 15 kg, which have now found me.
The chemo drug I reacted to was Bleomycin - not good for your lungs. But find out what you'll be having, they give you a list and the reactions etc, but get on the web and have a look. One thing I wish is that they had a support group of past and present Hodgkin's patients. I think that would have been valuable.
Everyone has different reactions to chemo, but keep going, sleep lots, drink water and eat whatever you are able to. This is just a speed bump - God's way of telling you to slow down and smell the roses! Also, something else is at the end of it for you. At least that's the way I look at it. I've got too much that I haven't yet experienced.
I know you'll get through this, soldier on and rest.
God bless
Kerrie
