Hey everyone, I hope you and all your families are doing well. I have found so much useful information on here and I want to thank everyone for sharing their stories, it gives me hope. The past few months have been pretty tough. My fiances father passed away last month from a hard but short battle with lung cancer. My grandfather is continuing to fight. We are on our last week of continous 5FU and radiation. The radiation beat him up pretty bad, but he is staying strong. After this week we have 2 more months of chemo left. There have been to scans to see if the cancer has returned, but there was some x-rays. Im not sure if you can see cancer on x-rays or not but if we can then we will get the results today. The only major problem we have is no appetite what so ever and severe acid reflux at night. He is on prevacid for it but it dosent work. The doc. prescribed actual pot pills for the appetite but they only mak him extremely dizzy. If anyone has any suggestion on appetite or acid help, it would be greatly appreciated. It gets so hard for me because im only 19 and I am the only one taking care of my popa. I also work full time and got o school at night. Sometimes I feel like ripping my hair out. The rest of my family is fighting and falling apart and everything is just in shambles now. I just continue to hope and pray that me and popa can beat this ugly monster. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Hope for the best!
