My husband battled brain cancer for 3 1/2 years.  He had good days and bad days, but he always stayed positive and always had a smile on his face. His doctor told him once he was going to have to come to see him every week to make him laugh.

This is not an easy battle to fight, but he fought until the end.  He went to a better place on March 10, 2008.  He was dx  Sept. 2004. He was 54 years old when he was dx and 57 when he died.

On Sunday night he was eating at the table with us, even though he was in a hospital bed,  he wanted up to go eat.  On Monday he was sleeping a lot and seemed as though he had a headache.  We gave him his first morphine and later in the day we gave him another dose of morphine.  In the afternoon he opened his eyes looked at me and said I Love You.  He hadn't been talking the last several days.  What a gift he gave me. After that he feel into a coma and at 10:20 that night he was gone.   He was on his steroids and Keppra up until the last day.  That is the only day he didn't get his medicine. He never seemed to get fretful.

We were married for 33 wonderful years and had a very special relationship.  I miss him so much I can hardly stand it sometimes. As I say we have been through a lot and I would be glad to help anyone anyway I could if you have questions.

Janice
