I also went to Dr. LOveccio at North Shore Manhasset on LI. He is not only the head of the Gyn/Surgery/Oncology dept. there, he is a very caring doctor. As for an oncologist, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Shapira, who is at the Don Monti Division of Medical Oncology (across the street from LIJ if you know LI) She is such a wonderful, caring person, who treats the whole patient, not just the disease, and, most importantly, she LISTENS to you and cares about how you are doing on every wau.
