My 18-year-old son is going to go through transplant. I just wonder if there is anything I should know or prepare for that the docs seem to forget to tell you. I had one nurse tell me that BMT is actually better than oncology because it is a "more organized chaos" in other words, a bit more predictable of what is going to happen, How does it differ from recovery of regular chemo. That seems bad enough?
