Subject: What is the burning skin about?
Date: 04/28/2008

My mother has lung cancer.  Starting in May of '07, she started to develop what we thought was a rash...psoriasis, perhaps.  Then it spread everywhere, all the way up to her neck and stopped there...NOT psoriasis...pitoriasis was the best guess (ever heard of it?  Painful but temporary, apparently).  It was red and scaly and caused her pain just for her clothes to touch her.

She lived with that for months before she figured out she had lung cancer, and then it was said that was her body's way of trying to secrete the toxins through her skin...

Then she went through a full regimen of chemo and in the process, the skin cleared up.  Her spirits soared.

She's been off chemo for a few months now, and today, she tells us the rash begins again on her back.  Absolutely NO doctor or expert or anyone anywhere could convincingly explain what this condition was the first time around.  How is it possible in cancer's long history that my mother's condition is brand new.  There has to be someone out there with some clue.  I don't think she is prepared to deal with another bout of this misery.

Is there anyone here who has any idea what is going on, or knows someone who does?  Please let me know as soon as you know.

Thank You,

Arlen
